A refresher built in days, watched by 600 in a month.
Persimmon is one of the UK's largest housebuilders, delivering thousands of homes a year across a national network of sites and a workforce that includes hundreds of plant operators.
Persimmon needed telehandler refresher training, and needed it fast. The traditional route means booking trainers, scheduling operators off plant, and waiting months for coverage. The requirement couldn't wait for the calendar.
One day of filming on site. A couple of days of programming. Persimmon had an interactive telehandler refresher built on real equipment in real conditions, with checks that test understanding. Pass, and the record proves it. Fall short, and the operator goes again until they don't.
Six hundred workers completed the refresher within one month of release. Everyone who needed it took it, and either scored well or retook it until they did. A training requirement that would normally consume a season of scheduling was met inside weeks, with comprehension evidence behind every operator. The refresher has since been adopted as standard onboarding: every new telehandler operator completes it on joining.
